Which hot tub stove to choose?
A hot tub with an integrated or external oven?
Both types of stoves are equally good. We present the perceived advantages and disadvantages. It remains for you to choose the most optimal option for yourself.
Advantages of the built-in oven
- The integrated stove is installed under the fiberglass insert, so it is not really visible. The visible part of 1/6 of the oven is located outside the tub, through which solid fuel is placed;
- It is recommended to fire: dry firewood, briquettes; We do not recommend carbon (elementary due to the ingress of solid particles into the lungs of bathers, since the chimney is 2 m. high and comes out of the shell of the tub);
- Water warms up faster than in a tub with an external oven, because a smaller volume of water is heated.
- Saves space in the yard, as the total area occupied by an outdoor hot tub with an integrated stove will be with the outer diameter of the lig tub.
- The stove is made of stainless steel with a thickness of 2 mm;
- We recommend choosing this type of stove type for families with children, because due to the position of the stove under the seats, the risk of burns to the shoulder disappears;
- The chimney coming out of the hull of the tub has an additional 1 m. protection that prevents burns.
- The power of the built-in oven can be varied;
- For the best result, we suggest choosing a more durable, chlorine- and salt-resistant, AISI 316 stainless steel.
Disadvantages of the built-in stove
- Less useful space in the tub, since the space is occupied by a fiberglass insert convex in the place of the stove.
- After years of use, cracks or wear and tears would take longer to replace the stove.
Advantages of an external stove
- More useful space in the tub, because the stove is built separately and it does not take up space in the tub;
- It is more convenient to install a hot tub with this stove on the terrace, since the stove can be placed away from the hot tub. It should only be remembered that the stove must stand at the same height as the hot tub for this, a place near the terrace must be provided;
- It is recommended to fire: dry firewood, briquettes; We do not recommend coal;
- The stove is made of stainless steel with a thickness of 2 mm;
- We recommend choosing this type of stove type for the owners of private houses, rural tourism homesteads or having a larger planned space for a hot tub;
- The most optimal option when assembling a mobile tub;
- The power of the external stove can be varied;
- For the best result, we suggest choosing a more durable, chlorine- and salt-resistant, AISI 316 stainless steel.
Disadvantages of an external stove
- You need to prepare additional space for the stove.
- A hot tub and a stove take up more space in the yard;
- It’s easier to steal a stove.
